Parking
The Tasmanian Craft Fair is spread across 4 venues and 3 galleries throughout the picturesque town of Deloraine. Free and many shuttle buses depart each venue regularly in order from Venue 1 to 2,3,4 and back to 1 again, or it is approximately 2 km from the Community Complex to the Showgrounds if you feel like a healthy walk.
Parenting Facilities
The fastest and cheapest way to get entry on the day is to have your prepaid ticket.
You can purchase tickets during the Fair at Venue 1 (Community Centre Gates at Alveston Drive) and Venue 2 (Showgrounds Gate).
Tickets are now available at the Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre in Deloraine.
Each hub can scan an online booking (printout or on a phone) and you will be presented with a wrist band for access to all venues and the free bus service.
Navigating the Fair
A new park and ride feature has been added in to allow for more parking spaces as attendee numbers grow. Park at the Deloraine Football Club and shuttles will connect you through to Venue 1 gates with the first bus ready to leave from 8:30am. Please note that there is no longer any public parking (other than disability spaces and exhibitors) at Alveston Drive. Parking is still available at the Showgrounds where you can also purchase your ticket.
Accessibility
Parking - A new accessibility drop-off zone is available at Venue 1, Alveston Drive, for vehicles displaying disabled parking permits – please follow the instructions of parking attendants, and vehicles will be directed to accessible parking after accessing the drop-off zone.
Other close-by parking for Venue 1 is at East Westbury Place, and accessibility overflow has been reserved in the ‘Dog Park’ area of Alveston Drive (the public car park from previous years).
Showgrounds (Venue 2) have parking areas close to the venue.
Venues and the Shuttle Bus - are wheelchair accessible and shuttle buses running between the main venues have low flooring for disability access.
Companion Cards are accepted. The cardholder should by an online ticket in advance. On arrival at the first point of entry the companion will be given a wristband allowing access for the rest of the Fair.
Pets
Dogs and other animals are not permitted at the Craft Fair, with the exception of assistance dogs with a permit. We love diversity, but pets are best left at home for this one.
