Four of Tasmania’s best working artist blacksmiths – Simon Pankhurst, Pete Mattila, Ben Beames and Nick Attfield – will take patrons on a journey through time into the life of a blacksmith shop today, 50 years ago, 200 years ago..
They will be joined by another Tasmanian, Richard Martin, and interstate working artist blacksmiths Bruce Pringle (formerly from Tasmania) and Bruce Beamish to put on a true spectacle showcasing their craft.
Throughout the Craft Fair, they will be building a piece commissioned by the Rotary Club of Deloraine on behalf of the Tasmanian Craft Fair – a park bench that once completed will be permanently sited within the community.
See these amazing artists in action at the Showgrounds at Venue 7.
